Pinsky, Timati, Sindica to acquire Starbucks cafe chain in Russia
MOSCOW, Jul 15 (PRIME) -- Russian restaurant keeper Anton Pinsky, founder of Pinskiy&Co, business and singer Timati and Russian holding Sindica will acquire U.S. cafe chain Starbucks’ Russian business, sources familiar with the matter told PRIME on Friday.
“The deal is at the final stage,” Sindica said in a statement.
A spokesperson of Pinsky confirmed PRIME that the restaurant keeper would become a co-owner of the chain.
Russian Federal Antimonopoly Service told PRIME that it still had not received an application for acquiring the Starbucks chain in Russia.
Starbucks closed all its cafes in Russia in March, and decided to leave the market in May.
